my online student’s success

This is Cheryl, my online student from Canada whom I have never seen in person, and she has just won the second prize at the Ontario Music Festival Association Competition!

Congratulations, Cheryl!🥳👏

Cheryl and her mother initially enrolled in a couple of my courses on Teachable last year. They later decided to take a few additional online lessons, without harboring many ambitions or expectations. However, for some reason, my thorough and perfectionistic approach did not deter Cheryl, and we ended up practicing together on a weekly basis. Within just one year, we progressed from messy attempts to play slow Mozart pieces to performing RCM level 8 pieces up to competition standards. Along the way, we learned numerous other pieces and studies, as well as developed skills in music theory, harmony exercises, transposing, music dictation, and more. This award is just the tip of the iceberg of what Cheryl has learned and accomplished along the way, but it is an incredible achievement indeed, and I wish Cheryl much joy and success on her creative path!
