trailer release announcement
π¦ I started exploring basics of video editing as a valuable skill to share my professional knowledge with a broader audience. However, sometimes, one ends up going further than initially planned.
When venturing into the world of acquiring a new creative skill, you typically progress through several stages:
1. Initial Effort: "Wow, I can zoom in on a video! I must be an amazing filmmaker!"
2. Learning More: "Oops, everything I did previously looks crap"
3. Striving Harder: "Alright, now I can do it fairly well."
4. Repeating Stages 2 and 3 in a continuous cycle π
What I love about videos is that once they're done, they remain in the same quality.π Unlike piano pieces in your repertoire, no matter how hard you learn them, after x days of not repeating them, they start to gradually slip away from your fingers π₯
Although I consider video-making a modest hobby of mine, last year, I unexpectedly won a grant for producing a multi-disciplinary film dedicated to Ligeti's Musica Ricercata. This project combined my piano performance, videography, and animation, and the film premiered at a local cinema.
This year, I've been working as a videomaker on Elina's project, a film endeavor that fuses her piano performances of late Scriabin sonatas with dance improvisation, lighting, stage installations, videography, and a touch of smoke. We're thrilled to unveil the trailer for this film today! Take a look at the video above, and subscribe to the Intertwining Arts channel to ensure you don't miss the full film release!
